[FONT=Arial][SIZE=1][COLOR=yellow] rolleyes.gif Hi, I'm a 17 year old writer, and I've been writing for the past 2 years. I've finished the final draft of one screenplay, the first draft of my second, and I'm writing the first draft of my third one. I love writing, and obviously, as any writer would, would love it to get recognised. However, site after site that I've been on, the courses aimed at new writers all state that you have to be over 18 to apply. I've just had a look on the King's Cross New Writing Award 2005 (www.thecourtyard.org.uk), and although it isn't film, it's a way of getting my work recognised. However, if you win, you become contracted to the Courtyard Theatre, and I don't know what that means!!

Will I have to wait until I'm 18 to get started on any courses etc, or are there any opportunities for younger writers?

Thanks a lot!

love Becca xxx smile.gif
